Information Open Day at Seaham School of Technology - November 2007

An information open day was held on Thursday 22 November at Seaham School of Technology. The drop in session gave pupils, parents, carers, governors, local residents and local businesses the opportunity to find out more about the proposed new school site at Malvern Crescent in Seaham.

Ground Breaking Event at Durham Johnston Comprehensive School - September 2007

To celebrate the start of works at the first BSF school in County Durham, a 'Ground Breaking' was held on Thursday 20 September 2007.

The ceremony was performed jointly by County Councillor Claire Vasey, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People's Services, Durham City MP Roberta Blackman-Woods, who is a governor of the existing Durham Johnston School, and the Headteacher Carolyn Roberts.

Bidders Day - June 2007

A Bidders Day was held on 29 June 2007 at the Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham. The purpose of the event was for potential bidders to find out more about Durham's BSFproject and launch the procurement process with the objective of establishing a LEP. Market Awareness Event - July 2006

The Market Awareness Day at Ramside Hall in Durham, gave the County Council the opportunity to share initial ideas of the BSF project with the private sector and to seek views on the attractiveness of Durham's BSF project and experiences from working on other similar schemes of this scale.
